Description

This No-Bake German Chocolate Pie offers the classic flavors of German chocolate cake in an easy-to-make pie. It features a rich chocolate filling topped with a sweet coconut-pecan mixture, all in a buttery crust. It’s a perfect dessert for any occasion.

  • 1 (9-inch) chocolate cookie crust or graham cracker crust
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Melt chocolate chips with 1/2 cup heavy cream until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  2. Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
  3. Fold melted chocolate mixture into cream cheese mixture.
  4. Pour chocolate filling into prepared crust and spread evenly.
  5. Combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, vanilla extract, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans in a saucepan.
  6. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens slightly. Let cool a bit.
  7. Spread coconut-pecan topping over the chocolate filling.
  8. Refrigerate the German Chocolate Pie for at least 3-4 hours, or until fully set.
