Crispy and flavorful garlic parmesan wings that are easy to make and perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings (fresh or frozen, thawed)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (fresh recommended)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and baking powder. Toss until evenly coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer.
- Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While the wings bake, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Remove from heat.
- Transfer the crispy wings to a large bowl, pour the garlic butter sauce over them, and toss to coat. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before tossing again.
- Arrange the wings on a serving platter and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, let seasoned wings rest uncovered in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before baking.
- Use ghee instead of butter for a dairy-free version.
- Freshly grated parmesan significantly enhances flavor.
