Description

These Cake Batter Rice Krispie Treats are a fun, no-bake dessert perfect for any celebration. They combine the classic crispy rice cereal with the sweet flavor of cake batter and a burst of colorful sprinkles.


Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp Salted Butter
  • 10 oz Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Crispy Rice Cereal
  • ⅔ cup Dry Cake Mix
  • 1 bottle Rainbow Sprinkles
  • 23 tbsp Marshmallow Crème (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the salted butter.
  2. Add the entire bag of marshmallows, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in dry cake mix until fully blended into the marshmallow mixture.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, measure out the crispy rice cereal.
  5. Pour the melted mixture over the cereal and fold it in gently.
  6. Add ½ to ¾ of the rainbow sprinkles and mix until coated.
  7. Lightly butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  8. Pour the sticky cereal mixture into the dish and press down firmly using a spatula.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining rainbow sprinkles over the top before the mixture sets.
  10. Allow to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
