- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned and crumbly, about 7–10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup until well combined.
- Transfer the beef mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Arrange frozen tater tots on top in a single layer.
- Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots.
- Bake for 30–45 minutes, until tater tots are golden brown and heated through.
- Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Variations include swapping cream of mushroom soup for cream of chicken or celery.
- Add diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, or garlic powder to the beef for more depth.
- Mix in frozen green beans, peas, or corn for added vegetables.
- The unbaked casserole can be frozen for up to 4 months.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
