Description
These crispy homemade chicken tenders are golden, juicy, and full of flavor. Quick to prepare and made with simple pantry ingredients, they are perfect for both everyday dinners and special gatherings. Serve them hot with dipping sauces for a meal that everyone will love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup bread crumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for bread crumbs mixed with spices.
- Dip each chicken strip into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the egg, and finally into the bread crumbs. Make sure each piece is fully coated.
- In a large skillet, heat about half an inch of oil over medium heat until hot. You can test it by dropping a small piece of bread into the oil; if it sizzles, it’s ready.
- Carefully place the chicken strips in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Once cooked, transfer the chicken tenders to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while they are still hot.
- Serve your chicken tenders hot with dipping sauces and your favorite sides. Enjoy your delicious homemade meal!
Notes
- Replace chicken with tofu for a vegan version.
- Use almond flour for gluten-free or low-carb diets.
- Add grated parmesan cheese to the bread crumbs for extra flavor.
- Top with your favorite sauce for variety.
