Description

These crispy cottage cheese chips are a high-protein, low-carb snack that satisfy crunchy cravings without the guilt. Easy to make with just a few ingredients, they’re kid-approved and perfect for healthy snacking any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cottage cheese (small curds preferred)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (e.g., rosemary or thyme)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil spray or brush of oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly spray or brush the paper with olive oil.
  2. Drain cottage cheese thoroughly and press with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet and flatten slightly, ensuring chips don’t touch.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes. Flip each chip and bake another 5–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Let chips cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes to crisp up fully before serving.

Notes

  • Drain cottage cheese well to avoid soggy chips.
  • Use small curd cottage cheese for best texture.
  • Customize seasoning with smoked paprika, chili flakes, or everything bagel seasoning.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Re-crisp in oven at 350°F for 5 minutes if needed.
