Description

A hearty and creamy casserole featuring jumbo pasta shells filled with seasoned ground beef and rich cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, half the mozzarella, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the cooked beef to the cheese mixture and stir well.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Stuff each shell with the beef mixture and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining marinara and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or cayenne to the beef mixture. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
