Description

Enjoy these flavorful Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers, marinated and coated in a rich garlic-butter sauce with Parmesan. Perfect as an appetizer or main course, these skewers are tender, juicy, and easy to make whether grilled, baked, or air-fried.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken tenders, thighs, or breast cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 stick butter
  • 810 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup Parmesan, grated
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ⅓ cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cut chicken into 3-inch pieces.
  3. Toss chicken with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  4. Thread chicken pieces onto soaked skewers, packing them tightly.
  5. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  6. Stir in minced garlic, Parmesan, hot sauce (if using), red pepper flakes, and parsley. Let simmer.
  7. Preheat your cooking method: Air fryer to 400°F, or grill/oven to 350-400°F.
  8. Cook skewers for 12-14 minutes in an air fryer, flipping and basting halfway through, until chicken reaches 165°F. Adjust time for grill or oven, basting frequently.
  9. Brush cooked skewers with extra sauce, sprinkle with additional Parmesan, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a brighter flavor, add lemon juice or zest to the butter sauce.
  • For more heat, double the red pepper flakes or use chili crisp.
  • You can swap chicken thighs for breasts.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
  • Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 300°F for 3-5 minutes for best texture.
