Description

Enjoy Honey Garlic Glazed Lamb Chops, a dish that balances elegance and ease. Tender lamb chops are coated in a sticky, caramelized glaze made from sweet honey, savory soy sauce, sharp garlic, and fragrant rosemary. This recipe is perfect for any occasion, turning ordinary dinners into special meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 lamb chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine honey, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, black pepper, paprika, and chopped rosemary to create the marinade. Reserve half of this mixture for glazing later.
  2. Season the lamb chops with salt. Coat the chops with the remaining marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the lamb chops for 2–3 minutes per side until a golden crust forms.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Brush the reserved glaze onto the chops. Cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, turning occasionally to caramelize the glaze.
  5. Use a meat thermometer to check for desired doneness: 135 °F (57 °C) for medium-rare, 145 °F (63 °C) for medium.
  6. Rest the lamb chops for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve immediately, drizzling any remaining glaze over the top.

Notes

  • For a spicy twist, add chili flakes or sriracha to the glaze.
  • You can swap rosemary for thyme or mint for a different herbaceous flavor.
  • Add a tablespoon of orange or lemon juice for a citrus infusion.
  • For an oven-baked option, bake at 400 °F (200 °C) for 10–12 minutes, then broil for 2–3 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently in a skillet on low heat or in a 300 °F (150 °C) oven, adding a splash of water or broth to retain moisture. Avoid microwaving.
