- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions
- Trim the crusts off each slice of bread.
- Beat together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on each slice of bread.
- Roll each slice tightly like a burrito.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each rolled-up piece in the egg mixture to coat.
- Fry each coated roll seam-side down until golden brown on all sides, about two minutes per side.
- Serve warm with syrup or powdered sugar.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture and absorption of the egg mixture.
- Do not overcrowd the pan when frying to ensure even browning.
