Description

Easy and delicious Pepperoni Pizza Rollups are a fun twist on classic pizza, featuring buttery garlic bread stuffed with mozzarella and pepperoni, rolled and baked to golden perfection. They’re a crowd-pleasing appetizer or snack that’s quicker than delivery.


Ingredients

  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup marinara sauce, warmed (for dipping)
  • Extra parmesan for sprinkling
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt in a small bowl.
  2. Unroll pizza dough and stretch into a roughly 12×8 inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Brush half the garlic butter mixture over the dough. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly, leaving a 1-inch border. Layer pepperoni slices over the cheese. Sprinkle with parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  4. Starting from a long side, roll the dough into a log, pinching the seam to seal.
  5. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces. Place cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
  6. Brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter mixture.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly, sprinkle with extra parmesan, and serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a cleaner cut when slicing the dough log, use unflavored dental floss.
  • If the rollups brown too quickly, tent them with foil during the last few minutes of baking.
