Description

A delightful fusion of creamy Tres Leches cake and comforting bread pudding, this Tres Leches Bread Pudding is an easy-to-make, crowd-pleasing dessert perfect for any occasion. It’s rich, decadent, and incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Custard:
  • 6 large Egg Yolks
  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • For the Bread:
  • 1 loaf Brioche Bread
  • For the Topping:
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, whole milk, evaporated milk, 3/4 can of sweetened condensed milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and sea salt until smooth.
  3. Immerse the brioche bread cubes in the custard mixture, gently folding until thoroughly coated.
  4. Transfer the soaked bread mixture into a greased 12×8 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the top, if using.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until golden-brown and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  7. Drizzle the remaining sweetened condensed milk across the top while it’s still warm.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For maximum flavor absorption, allow the pudding to soak for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  • Serve warm for the best experience.
  • Customize sweetness by drizzling additional condensed milk on each serving.
