Description
A simple and vibrant no-bake treat that combines crunchy cereal with the sweet flavors of white chocolate and strawberry.
Ingredients
Scale
- 5 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 large packet (3 oz) strawberry Jell-O mix
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1½ cups white chocolate chips
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed (optional)
Instructions
- Place the Rice Chex cereal in a large bowl.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and butter in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the melted white chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal. Gently toss until the cereal is evenly coated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the strawberry Jell-O mix and powdered sugar.
- Transfer the coated cereal into a large resealable bag. Add the Jell-O and powdered sugar mixture, seal the bag, and shake until the cereal is fully coated.
- Spread the coated cereal on a baking sheet to cool and harden.
- If using, sprinkle the crushed freeze-dried strawberries on top.
Notes
- For extra flavor and color, you can swap freeze-dried strawberries for homemade strawberry powder.
- White chocolate candy coating can be used instead of chips and butter; skip the butter when using candy melts.
- Corn Chex or other gluten-free cereals can be used as a substitute for Rice Chex.
- Store the snack in an airtight container at room temperature for optimal freshness.
